Chipotle began a digital overhaul 6 years ago that would later result in $2B in App + Web sales during 2020. With newfound status as the digital leader in fast casual food, the question became, where do we go from here?
We re-imagined its app. Yep, the same app that launched Chipotle to digital dominance in 2017. The redesign added features that engage several brand values, including sustainability, diet and nutrition, choice and customization, charitable giving, and flexible Rewards. By thinking beyond the burrito we helped Chipotle turn a great app into something greater.
